images complementing the dance numbers," Kubo added.
The show will include the dance styles of jazz, tap, ballet, modern,
lyrical, world dance and hip hop.
VOLUME marks the company's 14th original dance concert.
"Over 100 students will participate in VOLUME, and the show is our
most ambitious ever in terms of guest choreographers," Kubo said
In addition to numbers by Kubo, the performance will showcase the
works of Leanne Alduenda, the director of the Defore Dance Center; Jose
Silva, who is presently performing in the "Lion King" at the Pantages
Theater; and Stevie Ray Anthony, who has worked with Whitney Houston, MTV
and Boyz II Men.
Kubo brings the highest level of expertise to the dance program -- he
choreographs internationally and most recently has received a West Coast
Theater League award for his choreography in Annie.
