DAVID YURMAN

TO HOST BENEFIT

Internationally acclaimed jewelry designer, David Yurman, will

host a fund-raising event at Diane DeBilzan Gallery in Laguna Beach

on Oct. 25 with a cocktail party from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 25. Guests

will enjoy the artwork on display as well as view a selection of

Yurman's latest timepieces. Yurman has partnered with ACRIA, the AIDS

Community Research Initiative of America (a nonprofit community-based

AIDS research and treatment education center) to develop and execute

an art exhibit. In addition, Diane DeBilzan and her gallery artists;

contemporary painter, and brother, William DeBilzan and figurative

sculptor Louis Longi will donate a percentage of their sales during

the exhibit to benefit ACRIA. The gallery is at 224 Forest Ave.

LOCA ART WORKSHOP

Laguna Outreach Community Arts will offer its Third Thursday's Art

Workshop. The subject is Mosaic. Learn about the necessary tools and

techniques needed to create a decorative mosaic art piece. The class

will be held at Wells Fargo Bank on the third floor from 7 to 9 p.m.

CARNEVALE LAGUNA BEACH

"Carnevale Zali," the first carnevale in Laguna Beach, will be

celebrated from 5 to 10 p.m. Nov. 1 on the Festival of Arts Grounds

at 650 Laguna Canyon Road. Dedicated to Lila Zali, Carnevale Zali

includes music, dance, art, food, drink and costume contests with

$500 in cash prizes.

Carnevale Zali is a benefit for artist live/work spaces in Laguna

Beach. Tickets are $15 advance and $20 at the door. Costumes are

encouraged but not required. Advance tickets can be purchased at the

Laguna Beach Chamber of Commerce, 357 Glennerye St., Laguna Beach
