In addition to the sewer reconstruction work and the underground
placement of utility poles already in progress within the Downtown
area, resurfacing of the streets in that area will begin on March 1.
The resurfacing activities over the next week will include curb and
curb-ramp replacements at various locations. Each of the three
projects will affect isolated areas; however, the combined impact
will be to cause traffic delays and parking shortages throughout the
area through the month of May.
Work will begin March 1 on construction of a sidewalk along the
inland side of North Coast Highway from Viejo Street to Ledroit
Street. This work will close the outbound, No. 2 lane from 9 a.m. to
3 p.m. The work will continue through the month of April.
Underground placement of overhead utilities within the Mystic
Hills area will continue through the month of March. Street closures
will occur on portions of Mystic Way and Skyline Drive.
