Stone carving workshop offered
Laguna College of Art and Design is offering a stone carving
winter workshop on Saturdays through March 10. The workshop is taught
by master stone carver Marvin Johnson. No prior experience is
necessary. The 10-week series started Jan. 15 and cost $300 with two

Laguna Beach Live! concert Saturday
Laguna Beach Live! is sponsoring the "Generations of Jazz" concert
8 p.m. Saturday, featuring saxophone legend Charles McPherson, his
son Chuck on drums, father and son guitarists Dave and Larry Koonse
and the McPherson Quartet. The concert is at Laguna Beach High
School's Artists' Theatre, 625 Park Ave. Tickets are $30/$25 reserved

Festival application deadline is Feb. 28

College will exhibit 'Speculative Terrain'
Laguna College of Art and Design is having an opening reception
for a new exhibit, "Speculative Terrain," a show of contemporary
Southern California landscape imagery, from 7 to 9 p.m. Feb. 3. The
show will run through March 12.
"Speculative Terrain" shows recent views from San Diego to Santa
Barbara, capturing foothills, mountains and beaches.

'Art for Aids IV' set for Feb. 5
"Art for AIDS IV: An Evening with Cybill Shepherd" an event
benefiting AIDS Services Foundation Orange County and Laguna Art
Museum will be on Feb. 5 in the pacific Ballroom at The St. Regis
Monarch Beach Resort and Spa in Dana Point.
Shepherd will take center stage in the role of the evening's
