The Laguna Beach Rec. tennis team picked up another victory by edging
Deerfield Park Team A, 33-31, in junior league tennis action.
Teague Hamilton and Brian Vail each picked up wins in boys' play.
Hamilton was a 6-1 winner over Kenneth Zhou, while Vail defeated
Kenny Song, 6-4.
Erik Henrikson, playing for the first time at No. 1 singles,
dropped a 3-6 score to Song.
In girls' singles, Laguna's Kate Rogers lost to Shannon Thieson,
6-4, and teammate Kira Hamilton defeated Chelsea Chou, 6-2.
The brother and sister team of Teague and Kira Hamilton paired up
in mixed doubles, but lost to Chou and Thieson, 6-3.
Kellan Lindley and Tad Heitman went wire-to-wire but dropped a 6-5
(8-6) score in a doubles tiebreaker.
