Concert series set

at Bluebird Park

Sunday marks the first concert of the eight-week season of the

2005 Summer Concert Series at Bluebird Park with Creedence Clearwater

Revival tribute band Tombstone Shadow. Steve Copeland and Raging Sun

will perform blues July 31. Folk music performed by Jason Feddy will

be on Aug. 7. Eagle tribute band Desperado takes stage Aug. 14.

California sounds by Ken Garcia is featured Aug. 21. The Neat plays

the best of the 60s. On Aug. 28, Soundbytes play soul and popular

music for the final concert at Bluebird Park. On Sept. 11 the concert

moves to Riddle Field with Savor playing Santana's best.

The concerts are free and go from 5 to 7 p.m. Bring blankets,

beverages and a picnic basket. The concerts are at Bluebird Park at

the corner of Bluebird Drive and Cress St. For information, call

Medical center debuts art walk

South Coast Medical Center Auxiliary is introducing an art walk at

South Coast. The first display will feature local landscape artist,

Tim Howe, at 2 p.m. today, with festivities beginning at 2 p.m. The

community is invited to meet Howe at the opening day celebration with

a ribbon cutting, refreshments and a live ice sculpting exhibit at

South Coast Medical Center at 31872 S. Coast Highway. For

Kathryn Grimm performs at festival

Singer-songwriter Kathryn Grimm is performing regularly at the

Sawdust Art Festival. Her schedule is as follows: noon to 4 p.m.

Monday (duet); 12:30 to 4 p.m. Wednesday (solo); 5:30 to 9 p.m. Sun.,

Aug. 14, (duet); and 12:30 to 4 p.m. Sat., Aug. 26, (solo).

"Grimm Again," her recently released, 10-song CD, has received

critical praise. Grimm's guitar skills and voice have backed many

artists, including Bo Diddley, Elvis Costello, and Michael Bolton.

She is also a published songwriter whose music has been featured in

numerous soundtracks and commercials.

Brewing company

hosts comedy review

Epstein Productions presents a comedy review, "One Funny Night" at

8 p.m. July 27 at Laguna Beach Brewing Co. 422 S. Coast Highway.

Cover charge is $7. Special guest will be Michael Flood, Comedy

'Lagunatics: 2005 Senior Prom'

No Square Theatre will present "Lagunatics 2005: Senior Prom" at

Laguna Beach High School Artists' Theatre July 29, 30 and 31. This

hilarious musical revue of local performers is the kickoff

fund-raiser for the Laguna Beach Seniors' capital campaign to build,

equip, and endow a new senior center in Laguna Beach.
