SUMMER SCHOOL REPORT
The board reviewed the summer school report for the recent summer
and considered suggestions for next year's sessions, including
smaller class sizes and making sure student records are more readily
available to teachers.
WHAT THIS MEANS
This was informational, so the board took no action.
The district will make plans for how to implement some of the
suggestions for next year.
2005-06 BUDGET
The board approved recommendations for the use of funds intended
to supplement programs, including counseling and campus security at
Luther Middle School.
WHAT THIS MEANS
The district will implement the recommendations.
VOTE: 5-0
TEACHER CONTRACTS
Supt. Gregory Bowman provided the board with the district's
proposals for items to be considered in yearly negotiations with the
Burbank Teachers Assn., including health and welfare benefits for
retirees and wages.
WHAT THIS MEANS
A timeline for the negotiations will be scheduled at a later date.
