The first 75 guests to purchase reservations will be invited to an exclusive pre-auction cocktail party from 5 to 6 p.m. on the same day. It will feature a special gallery walk-through with Museum Director Bolton Colburn. Early ticket holders will also receive priority seating at the auction and their choice of one of four Museum catalogues.
Reservations are $125 each and can be purchased online at www.lagunaartmuseum.org or by calling (949) 494-8971, ext. 88.
Festival of Arts seeks exhibitors
Artists wishing to exhibit at this summer's Festival of Arts exhibition from July 1 to Aug. 31 are invited to submit slides and an application form by Feb. 28.
Applicants may download an application from the festival's Website, www.LagunaFestivalofArts.org or call (949) 464-4234.
The Festival of Arts, celebrating its 75th anniversary, is a regional exhibit, accepting applications from artists residing in the following cities: Aliso Viejo, Balboa, Balboa Island, Capistrano Beach, Corona del Mar, Costa Mesa, Dana Point, Irvine, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest (El Toro), Mission Viejo, Monarch Beach, Newport Beach, San Clemente and San Juan Capistrano.
"The art must be original, meaning done by the applicant and not reproduced, and meticulously crafted," said Jack Archer, exhibit and artist activities director.
Interested applicants are invited to attend a free photo jurying seminar on Tuesday, Jan. 16, from 7 to 9:30 p.m. at the Festival of Arts, 650 Laguna Canyon Rd.
The seminar will highlight the "how to's" of the process of jurying and provide tips for photographing artwork for submission.
"We encourage artists applying to attend this very informative seminar," Archer said.
The seminar is open to all and recommended to anyone applying to the Festival.
