Hunt, dine on eggs

Easter offerings in Laguna Beach range from sumptuous brunches with entertainment to spiritual refreshment to hopping around hunting eggs.

Easter Sunday brings an array of activities for the entire family. Take a wilderness hike through the budding colors of spring, hunt for eggs with the Easter Bunny, or enjoy a special holiday brunch with your loved ones at one of Laguna’s many fine restaurants.

Whatever your faith, or if you are unaffiliated, it’s bound to be an uplifting day for all.

?American Legion & Women’s Auxiliary, 217 Dolphin Way, will host their annual Easter Egg Hunt at 1 p.m. at the Laguna Beach High School baseball field for children 9 and younger.

The Easter Bunny will make a personal appearance and will be available for photos for those who arrive between noon and 12:30 p.m. Call (949) 376-6340 for information.

?Claes Restaurant, 425 S. Coast Hwy, will feature an Easter Brunch from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Cost is $45/person. Call (949) 497-9283 for reservations.

?The Cliff Restaurant, 577 S. Coast Hwy, will feature a festive Easter breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and dinner from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m., and will offer an extended menu at special prices.

?Crystal Cove State Park will host a “Signs of Spring” hike at 9 a.m. Easter Sunday. Group will meet at El Moro Visitor Center.

?Hush Restaurant, 858 S. Coast Hwy, will offer a special Easter Brunch from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., which will feature an appetizer, entrée and dessert. Cost is $39 per adult, $19 per child. Call (949) 497-3616 for reservations.

?The Laguna Playhouse, 606 Laguna Canyon Road, will feature a 2 p.m. matinee of Maripat Donovan’s “’Til Death Do Us Part: Late Nite Catechism 3,” the latest class of the comical series which offers lessons on the Sacraments of Marriage and Last Rites. The Show will run through May 3.

?Las Brisas, 361 Cliff Drive, will offer a four-course Easter Brunch from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. which will include fresh fruit, appetizer, entrée, dessert and champagne. Cost is $35/person. Reservations for 5 persons or less, call (949) 497-5434.

?Montage Resort & Spa, 30801 S. Coast Hwy, will offer a 12-station champagne holiday brunch in the Grand Ballroom from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost is $95 for adults, $40 for children 4 to 12. The event will also feature a jazz trio, visit by the Easter Bunny and friends, and an Easter egg hunt for guests only. Call (949) 715-6420 for reservations.
