This week I had a chance to spend some time at the new Sands Cafe at Aliso Beach.
I sat down with Mike, the owner, who is an avid skateboarder and father of four groms.
Mike’s really put together a great-looking cafe that offers hungry beachgoers a delicious menu — choices include a full breakfast, lunch and catering menu.
The day I was down there, Mike was busy making sure every detail was in place for their big grand opening later this month.
Being spring break this past week, the parking lot and beach were jam-packed and people were curious as to when the cafe would be open.
Mike said he is organizing a Skate Jam kick-off event in the beach parking lot, complete with ramps and professional skateboarders.
