The 7- and 8-year-olds, meanwhile, “will explore self expression through playful exercises and rehearsal in preparation for their showcase July 16 at 11 a.m.,” playhouse officials said. Past material has included story adaptations, Shakespeare, classic children's plays, movement and music.
Enrollment is limited to 12 students, according to instructor Sari Rose Poll. The fee is $350.
The Teen Acting Workshop is described by instructor Jane Hillary as “a crash course for teens looking for an exceptional summer workshop. Evening classes leave plenty of time to go to the beach or have a job.”
