SATURDAY: Go retro during Beatles Day at the Sawdust Art Festival from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. , where patrons can enjoy all of their favorite Beatles classics performed live and make Beatles-era crafts like '60s monograms, clay musical instruments and magnets. Computer Class

Marine Mammal Beach Day

Pacific Marina Mammal Center and the Villa at Pacific Edge Hotel host a family beach day from 1 to 4 p.m. at 647 S. Coast Hwy. The day includes a barbecue, live music, volleyball and a sand castle building contest. Lounge chairs, towels and umbrellas and beach toys are complimentary. Tickets are $10 per person, while children younger than 10 get in for free. Reservations are required. 'Dog' Novelist Appearance

Laguna Beach Books welcomes W. Bruce Cameron, best-selling author of "A Dog's Purpose: A Novel for Humans," for a 6 p.m. appearance. The bookstore, at 1200 S.
