Seniors can learn techniques to avoid falling from 12:15 to 1 p.m. Tuesdays through Dec. 14 at the Susi Q Senior Center, 380 Third Street. This three-month class emphasizes improving leg strength, flexibility and balance, eye tracking, posture and breathe work. The workout is two-fold incorporating seated exercises followed by standing exercises using a chair for balance. However, most of the standing exercises can be performed in a seated position. Learn to play bridge
Seniors are invited to beginning bridge lessons from noon to 2 p.m. Fridays, beginning Oct. 15, at the Susi Q. The cost is $65 for the course.
The five-session class is designed for the beginning player. Each session will start with a short lesson on basic bidding techniques and responses. The instructor is Ann Cressman, certified bridge instructor.
