FRIDAY: Meet filmmaker Greg MacGillivray, shown, as he hosts a screening of his film, "Coral Reef Adventure," and answers audience questions to benefit the Pacific Marine Mammal Center. The event begins with a 6:30 p.m. VIP reception followed by the film at 8 p.m. at Laguna Playhouse, 606 Laguna Canyon Road. Garden Club Meeting

The Laguna Beach Garden Club will present "Eye Candy from Public Gardens on the West Coast" and a silent auction at its 9:30 a.m. meeting at Neighborhood Congregational Church, 340 St. Ann's Drive, Laguna Beach. Board member Patricia Weier will present a slideshow, and attendees will have the opportunity to bid for Valentine Planted Containers created by club members. 'Frank' Film Screening
