Vietnam veterans to march in parade
Local Vietnam veterans have reserved a position in the March 5 Patriot's Day Parade in Laguna Beach, according to Patrick Freeman. Organizers are seeking area veterans to participate in forming a group to walk in the parade. This group has participated in the parade since 1985.
Veterans are encouraged to wear old uniforms. The group will form between 9 and 10 a.m. near Laguna Beach High School, 625 Park Ave. The parade begins at 11 a.m. and covers about six blocks of downtown Laguna Beach. To locate the group, visit the check-in booth at the corner of Park Avenue and Short Street. Following the parade, the group will gather at the Marine Room Tavern, 214 Ocean Ave., Laguna Beach. For more information, call Freeman, (949) 494-7572 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
