SUNDAY: Spot local native and winter migratory birds with Laguna Canyon Foundation volunteer naturalists on this slow and easy 2-mile Birding Hike from 8 to 11:30 a.m. . Meet at Laguna Coast Wilderness Park, Little Sycamore Canyon Staging Area/Nix Nature Center (west side of Laguna Canyon Road/SR-133, approximately 3.5 miles south of I-5/405). Happiness Workshop

Learn the secrets of Authentic Happiness at a workshop led by Veeder South from 9 a.m. to noon at the Susi Q Senior Center, 380 Third St. South has a PhD in energy and kinetics from UCLA and is the founder of Advanced Awareness Training. The cost is $25 per person or $40 per couple.

Guided Tidepool Walk

Join a Crystal Cove State Park volunteer on a guided tidepool walk to Pelican Point at noon when the tide will fall to a low -0.4 feet. A volunteer will help identify animals. Meet at Pelican Point parking lot No. 2, at the top of the boardwalk near the parking lot. $15 day-use parking fee.

Great Discussions

Join a Great Decisions Discussion Group, sponsored by the Foreign Policy Assn., beginning at 1:30 p.m. or 7 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at 429 Cypress Drive, Laguna Beach. The discussions provide in-depth knowledge of foreign policy issues and are offered by the League of Women Voters and the Social Action Committee of the UU Fellowship.
