The Interfaith Council's mission is to further communication and cooperation among the Laguna Beach faith groups and among other institutions and community social service agencies in order to better serve the needs of the community, especially the poor, sick and disenfranchised.
The council meets at 3 p.m. the third Thursday of each month, rotating between member congregations.
Ragtime queen visits church
Mimi Blais, the "The New Queen of Ragtime," from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, will perform her only Southern California concert of the year at 7:30 p.m. May 5 at Neighborhood Congregational Church, 340 St. Ann's Drive. The concert is in memory of Jeff Stone, a long-time lover and supporter of ragtime music and former deejay of the Ragtime Show on KSBR Radio.
This event is a benefit for JOY Ministry (Justice Outreach and You). Tickets are available for a suggested donation of $20 with pre-reservation, payable at the door.
