'Bee Movie'

Bring the family to watch "Bee Movie" at 6 p.m. at Anneliese Schools' Willowbrook Campus, 20062 Laguna Canyon Road. Wear pajamas and bring a sleeping bag to curl up in. Popcorn will be served. The event is free.


Eric Henderson

Guitarist Eric Henderson performs at 7:30 p.m. in Bridge Hall at Neighborhood Congregational Church, 340 St. Ann's Drive. Tickets are $20 and can be bought at the door or from Sound Spectrum, 1264 S. Coast Hwy. Proceeds will go to HABLA, a reading program for underprivileged children.

'Mr. Laguna' Turns 98

Celebrate Harry Lawrence Day at 1 p.m. at Main Beach Park. Laguna coastline-inspired cake will be served. Lawrence has been honored with a celebration every year on his birthday since he turned 95.

Wig Out Benefit

Studio DC Salon plays host to the inaugural Wig Out Benefit at 6:30 p.m. at the salon, 380 Ocean Ave. Tickets are $30 minimum donation with proceeds going to Potter's Field Ministry and Mothers Without Borders. Guests should wear a crazy wig or hat. For more information, visit

Book Signing

Author Lynda Zussman will hold a book signing from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Martha's Bookstore, 308 1/2 Marine Ave. She is the author of "Throw Me the Rope: A Memoir on Loving Lauren," about her daughter's journey to get sober and lead a clean lifestyle.

Art and Sea Lions

Laguna Outreach for Community Arts is offering a sea lion mask workshop at 9 a.m. at the Pacific Marine Mammal Center. Participants will tour the center, with a mask-making class to follow. The cost is $20 for adults or $15 for ages 6 and older. Email or call (949) 363-4700 for more information.
