Fitness boot camp made just for women

With the holidays approaching, many women may be worrying about how to prevent holiday weight gain.

Laura Quintanilla has a solution: Fitness boot camp.

The personal trainer from Aliso Viejo has developed Your Dream Physique, a fitness program that targets women ages 35 to 55.

Quintanilla says that women in that age group tend to have more time to devote to fitness, but their bodies don't respond to exercise like they did at a younger age, according to a news release. Her program involves a group workout routine of interval training, not just running and cardio work.

She emphasizes a change not just in exercise habits, but in eating as well.

"Remember, our habits are purely emotional. Once we start to get the positive feedback right away, we stick with a new thing," she said in a statement.
