  • FRIDAY: Watch and listen for the Laguna Beach Girl Scouts — complete with sleigh bells — as they sing in the holidays from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Hundreds of local Girl Scouts will be boarding trolleys driven by Santa and his helpers to sing holiday carols in the downtown Laguna area. Participating Girl Scouts will make hundreds of candy cane reindeer and cards for our Military troops stationed abroad during the holidays.

Church Sanctuary

City Council Special Meeting

The Laguna Beach City Council will have a special, closed session meeting regarding negotiations with the Laguna Beach Police Employees' Assn., Laguna Beach Municipal Employees Assn. and the Laguna Beach Marines Safety Assn. at 8:30 a.m. in Conference Room A of City Hall, 505 Forest Avenue. Ban The Bag

Transition Laguna Beach is sponsoring its second annual Ban the Bag day by handing out re-usable shopping bags at Albertsons, Ralphs or Whole Foods from 8 to 11 a.m. The city of Laguna Beach provided the bags, which were paid for by donations and grants.

Christmas Eve Celebration


Join singers Jason Feddy, Nick Hernandez and Mary Scifres, accompanied by Pam Wicks on piano, along with poet John Gardiner, at Neighborhood Congregational Church, 340 St. Ann's Drive, for a free 7 p.m. service of candlelight and carols. Prior to worship this year, the church's Labyrinth will be open across the courtyard in Bridge Hall. From 5 to 7 p.m., the community is invited to take a breather and walk the Labyrinth's ancient circles of inspiration in meditation and reflection. Family Concert

Seeds Art and Education Inc. hosts a family concert at 6:30 p.m. at the Anneliese School's Willowbrook Campus, 200062 Laguna Canyon Road, Laguna Beach.
