  • SATURDAY, SUNDAY AND THURSDAY: The Pageant of the Masters is looking for men, women and children to volunteer for next summer’s show, “The Genius.” People of all sizes and ages are needed to be cast members in the world’s most famous presentation of tableaux vivants or “living pictures.” Casting call will be held at the following times: 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 7, 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, , Jan. 8 from 2pm–5pm and from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 12 at Irvine Bowl Park, 650 Laguna Canyon Road.

Friday Flicks At The Forum

The Arts Commission will be screening "Exit Through the Gift Shop" at 7 p.m. at the Festival of Arts Forum Theatre. The film is about an eccentric French shopkeeper and amateur filmmaker who attempt to find and befriend Banksy, only to have the artist turn the camera back on its owner. The film is rated R. Admission is free.


Artist Open Studios

Come visit the studios of 25 of Laguna's talented artists from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event includes free parking and trolley service from the Act V parking lot, 1900 Laguna Canyon Road.

ZeroTrash Cleanup

ZeroTrash's Community Cleanup, held on the first Saturday of every month, takes place from 10 a.m. to noon. Volunteers can meet at Hobie Surf, Thalia Surf, Laguna Beach High School, El Ranchito or United Studios of Self Defense. Supplies are provided. For more information, visit

Talk With The Mayor

The Laguna Canyon Conservancy is hosting Mayor Jane Egly at its monthly dinner meeting at 6 p.m. at Tivoli Terrace, 650 Laguna Canyon Road. The mayor will answer questions from the audience.
