"We have always wanted to align art with the art world," James Peacock, the general manager at Aston Martin Newport Beach, said in a prepared statement. "Aston Martin cars are truly works of art. I think that any enthusiast can appreciate the design and craftsmanship of our vehicles."

The event will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. at Dawson Cole Fine Art, 326 Glenneyre St. A portion of the proceeds will benefit HomeAid Orange County, a nonprofit providing housing for homeless people.

Laguna Beach Live! has announced its lineup for the summertime Jazz Wednesdays series in the rose garden of the Hotel Laguna, 425 S. Coast Hwy.

The Latin Jazz Syndicate will play on the evening of June 13. That will be followed by the Rickey Woodard Quartet on June 27, Tom Luer's Project Popular on July 11, Yve Evans & Co. on July 25, the Josh Nelson Trio on Aug. 8, the Jet Set Quintet with Tony Guerrero & Matt Johnson on Aug. 22, and Bossa Zuzu on Sept. 5.

In other news, Hedy Buzan on Saturday morning will lead a botanicals art class for beginners at the South Laguna Community Garden. The class, offered through the Laguna Outreach for Community Arts, will go from 9:30 to 11 a.m.
