Chinese students attend LCAD workshop

Ten students from four Chinese universities participated in Laguna College of Art & Design's first digital media and animation workshop, according to a press release.

The two-week workshop gave the students a chance to hone their digital skills by using the college's state-of-the-art computer laboratories, the release said.

"I was so impressed by how the students helped each other to make sure the class stayed on track," LCAD graphic design faculty member Dan Jensen said in a statement. "Language was not a barrier because of how well the students communicated with one another. I really hope that we will have more students from China attend LCAD as full-time students. "

During their time at the college, the students mingled with a pre-college graphic design class and took a field trip to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles, Laguna Art Museum.
