This is just a short list of famous clients at Le Restaurant, where Mark DePalma (of Mark?s in Laguna), consummate restaurateur, began his career. In case you don?t remember or weren?t part of Frankie?s inner circle, Le Restaurant was ?The Place? to see and be seen in ?70s Hollywood (and to boot, the food was terrific!

The Junior Park Avenue Players don't mess around. Attendees at Thurston Middle School's production of "Annie" will be highly impressed by the first-rate venue and the fancy programs, but the studiousness of the kids onstage will be the show's biggest talking point. "It's really hard work, but it's also really fun," said Nusheen Goshtasbi, who plays an orphan. The show opens tonight, with productions at 4 and 7 p.m.; it also runs Saturday and Sunday, as well as the following weekend, at the same times.

Suzie Harrison Though a lot has changed since it's inception three years ago, the annual "Hunks in Trunks" fundraiser's goal has remained the same -- raising money to help locals living with HIV and AIDS. This year's Aug. 7 event at Laguna Art Museum will have plenty of the elements that have drawn a large crowd every year. The fundraiser has always been an event to benefit Laguna Shanti, but since the nonprofit organization moved to Laguna Hills it changed its name to Shanti Orange County.
